about us
Taking the first step into therapy can feel like a lot, but you don't have to figure things out on your own.
Based in central Glasgow, Quiet Light Counselling provides a calm, confidential space where we can work together without judgment.Whether you are navigating uncertainty, grief, anxiety, major life transitions, or feeling stuck and emotionally drained by the stresses and strains of everyday life, our aim is to support you at a pace that feels right, helping you find clarity and a steady path forward. We don't believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, we work pluralistically, meaning we shape our sessions around what actually fits your life. Depending on what you need, we might draw on practical CBT tools for overwhelming thoughts, explore deeper patterns psychodynamically, or simply offer space for your feelings to be heard.
How We Can Work Together
We offer three simple ways to connect:Walk & Talk (Central Glasgow): Face-to-Face seating or Side-by-Side outdoor walking sessions in Central Glasgow (e.g. Kelvingrove Park). Moving outdoors takes the pressure off direct eye contact and lets nature help settle your mind as we talk. (If the Scottish weather turns severe, we simply meet online or by phone).
Online Video (UK-Wide): Relaxed, confidential video sessions from the comfort of your own space. Available to adults anywhere in the UK.
Telephone Therapy (UK-Wide): A flexible, screen-free option if you prefer to talk without being on camera. Available anywhere in the UK.What We Can Explore TogetherTherapy can help with whatever you're holding right now, including:* Grief, loss, & lingering sadness
* Anxiety, ongoing stress, procrastination & feeling burnt out
* Big life decisions, changes, & uncertain futures
* Relationship troubles & feeling "not good enough"
